Ive always liked Clague. The eye test to me always showed he was better than maata. I find it odd he was nvr taken off waivers. The team is finding ways to win. I just hope they keep giving youngsters a chance. And keeping lines together so they can build something. I hate Tkachev not staying and allowing him to build something. The AHL assignment could be very dangerous for a potentially free asset. He can simply go back to the KHL. Due to his clause. Hes the most creative forward we have.

the Maata/Roy pairing was a turnover machine. I used to think Roy was a solid, safe, dman, but with his increase in ice time, I think he's in over his head. If the turnovers continue, I wouldn't mind seeing another one of the kids come up and cut his teeth.

To make matters worse, the weekend wins are liable to just validate McLellan and Blake about sending him down. Also, even if he doesn't use his clause, he can simply go back to Russia in the Summer. They should treat him like the pro player that he is instead of as a prospect, IMO. 3 games without a point is hardly a reason to send him down. Arvidsson didn't have a point in his first 3 games of the season, yet he wasn't healthy scratched or demoted to the bottom 6.

Arvidsson was creating chances with that line while Tkchavev looked lost on most shifts that were not PP shifts.

Tkachev has 2 assists in 4 games though. I rly like his game. We shall see how this works out.

The Kings must get healthy and some of these kids have to find another gear, I picked LA to finish 2nd In the Pacific. Don't make me look bad!

Iafallo is single-handedly sabotaging the tank.

Remember when people insisted that Iafallo was a 3rd line forward, at best?

I don't remember that, but some of us considered him a middle-6er. Perhaps the argument for why he's a 2nd-liner on a bad team and a 3rd-liner on a good team is what you're remembering. The argument was similar for Stoll back in the day. Like him, Iafallo is doing just fine on the 2nd line of a bad team, but LA becoming a contender may hinge on enough kids stepping up into the top 6 to push a guy like Iafallo down to the 3rd line.

He's played 50% of his minutes with Danault and Kempe, and they are at 60%+ CF. That second line has been amazing.

I think Iafallo has the skill-set to be a top line forward on a Stanley Cup contender.

Kempe and Iafallo are single (or is it double) handedly sabotaging the tank.
